The Moore NYC

Nestled in the heart to NYC’s Chelsea, The Moore celebrates its brownstone and tree-lined streets, just a stroll aways from acclaimed restaurants, galleries and shops. Here for our Issue 17 cover shoot with Netflix’s heartthrob Liam Woodrum, it’s the perfect cosy retreat both for business…and a little bit of leisure. The Moore boasts 81 upscale boutique rooms, with bespoke amenities by DS & Durga, Queen rooms overlooking the city with interiors that will make you feel right at home.

Checking in to The Moore, you’ll be welcomed by their esteemed team, where nothing you ask could be too much. Grabbing a coffee for Coffee Moore on our arrival, we can tick of caffeinated amenities, knowing something a little strong is only an elevator away. When booking The Moore, the room choices feel endless from their standard Interior Queen all the way to the Moore Suite. Every room comes with standard amenities including Frette Linens and Terry, Frette Robes for those dream bathroom R&R sessions, a Samsungs Tv, working spaces, dry minibar, safe, hairdryer and steamer, Tea Kettle (something not to be overlooked for us Brits), daily housekeep and more. For those seeking a city view, look no further than their Corner Queen.

Speaking of views, we climb onto the rooftop for scenic views to marry with two of Liam’s cover looks. To make the most of your stay visit The Moore’s rooftop bar for skyline views will have you falling in love with New York, and for those returning, all over again. The Moore’s rooftop features a stunning outdoor space with natural foliage and a view of The Empire State Building with intimate settings to gather and enjoy. If you’re a little peckish The Moore’s Wine and Seasonal rooftop Wine Bar is here for taking for those long summer nights. The Hotel is for those looking for a residential experience with just the right amount of hospitality.

If you’re looking for something a little more presidential, enhance your experience by upgrading to The Moore Suit with a private outdoor terrace and seasonal soaking tub. What a way to soak it all in. As Liam dresses for the occasion we choose the downstairs modern designed aesthetic lounge for those still moments and close up portraits with warm and welcoming lighting.

For the shoot we decided to meet the neighbourhood shooting on the busy streets of Chelsea. Just a stone thrown away from Fellini Coffee, a La Dolce Vita authentic coffee experience and Marsanne a modern mediterranean oasis, The Moore finds home in it’s representation of NYC traditional skyline with it’s rooftop bar and views, something we were not only keen to capture on film but also to embrace a moment of TLC. Just down the street you’ll find Chelsea Market housed in the former national biscuit company building constructed in 1890, now home to 60 food and beverage stores open from early (8am) to late (10pm), the ideal for those late night post flight hunger pangs or a brief break from set. If you’re looking to blow those jet lag cobwebs aways, Chelsea’s Little Island should be your first stop of the day, only a short walk away, floating on the Hudson River. The Whitney Museum and Hudson Yard shouldn’t be overlooked when looking for great food and entertainment, before your late night tipple at the Joyce Theater. The charming nature of Chelsea was a must for us when capturing imagery for Liam’s cover, for it’s charming New York esque streets and busy buzz.

The Moore is the place to come back to, something we most certainly will when looking to sleep, enjoy and Gather.
