There is a certain point in a band's evolution when influence gives way to identity. For The Now, that moment arrives on 27th October, with the release of their second album, 'Moments in Motion', via Trew Music.

The South Wales four-piece have spent the past year quietly building towards this record, releasing five singles along the way: Wild Curse, Breathe, Something Beautiful, Infection and Drug. Taken together, they feel like a series of glimpses into the world the band have created around this new era. It is an evolution that suits the band's current trajectory.

There is the romantic fatalism of Wild Curse, the intimacy of Breathe, the bruised optimism of Something Beautiful, the restless self-questioning of Infection and the darker, more seductive territory of Drug. Emotionally, the record refuses to sit still.

The Now have spent years in motion themselves: from the South Wales live circuit to the Isle of Wight Festival, from UK headline shows to sharing stages with Reef, Florence Black and, most recently, Madness. Their music has travelled from BBC Radio Wales and Planet Rock to BBC television and SiriusXM in North America. Now comes the album that gathers all of that momentum into one place.

Recorded at Summerfield Studios and Real World Studios and produced by Alex Vesters, Shane Callaghan, Faye Dolle and Charles Hughes, Moments in Motion is less concerned with announcing a reinvention than embodying one.

The album is available to pre-save now, ahead of its release on 27 October 2026.
